SWD Destruction of Records Notice
In compliance with the Individual Disabilities Act (IDEA), The Georgia Records Act, and the Foothills Regional High School policy on destruction of data collected, maintained or used in the provision of a free and appropriate public education of students with disabilities in the Foothills Regional High School sites, the Records Department announces its intention to destroy special education records during the month of July 31, 2021.. Records on students who were enrolled in a special education program at Foothills Education Charter High School  who were born before December 31, 1994, are no longer needed for educational purposes. 

The student or parent may need these records for Social Security or other reasons. If you, as a former special education student or a parent of a former special education student, wish to obtain these records prior to destruction, you should contact the Special Education Records Department, Foothills Regional High School, 2415 Jefferson Road Suite B, Athens, GA. Positive identification will be required before the records can be released to the individual.
