We are always proud to spotlight our Foothills students. It is especially gratifying to check up on students as they continue their journey after earning their Foothills high school diploma. Please enjoy reading about three students who are succeeding as adults and how they continued their post secondary education as young adults.
There clearly is not a single profile of Foothills students. Most students are at least 1.5 years behind in credits. Usually there is an attendance issue due to health, needing to earn income, taking care of children, or lack of motivation. It is not because they aren't capable, not at all. They just need another pathway to earn their diploma. One shoe does not fit all. Approximately 30% of our graduates go to college once they leave Foothills. The most important gift they gain from Foothills is learning that they can work hard, they can set and meet goals, they can earn a diploma, and that they matter.
